Gerber Partner) graduated with his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree (with distinction) from the University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario, Canada. He received the University Gold Medal and completed a concurrent Master’s Degree in Pathology. In 1989, Alan represented Canada at the International Association for Dental Research competition in Dublin, Ireland. He won the prestigious Hatton Award for his predoctoral research with MRI’s. Alan is the founder of the Maritime Dental Group which owns dental practices in Canada and Scotland. He has been a partner in several dental corporate groups in Canada and the US. He is a practicing dentist and is passionate about providing patients with dental implant based treatment solutions. He lectures internationally with a focus on incorporating dental implants into a general dental practice, dental practice management and team building. He offers live practical coaching on many aspects of the dental world. Alan has a strong understanding of the dental market and how to grow dental practices, whilst ensuring incentives and drivers work for both dentists and auxiliary staff. FIFC is the franchisor for the Fiesta Auto Insurance and Tax Service franchise system. Fiesta Auto Insurance was founded in 2006 when Mr. Rost franchised his system, making it available in California and then nationwide. Currently stores have been opened in sixteen states, with a goal of having over 2,500 open by 2019.
Mr. Rost has been involved in the insurance industry since 1994, first as an employee, and then as the Founder and President of National Insurance Centers, a chain that he sold in 1998. It is currently active in a number of states.
Mr. Rost is not an insurance agent. In fact he has never written an insurance policy since Fiesta Auto Insurance was opened in January of 1999. He has a proven system to manage and grow an agency by working on the business and not in it. With his system working proficiently, he was able to invest his time pursuing additional goals and accomplishments.
In 2003 and 2004, Mr. Rost (also known as Adventure Guy) reached the summit of the highest mountains on all seven continents—including Mount Everest. He was the thirty-fifth American and ninety-sixth individual in the world to complete “The Seven Summits.”
In his continued pursuit of challenges, he personally built an experimental airplane in his garage, affixing the wings after he transported his project to a nearby airport. He performed all of the test flying necessary to have the aircraft approved for flight throughout the United States, as well as internationally. Later he set two national and world speed records in this aircraft.
Mr. Rost currently lives in Huntington Beach, California, near the beach with his three college and high school-age children, Alec, Chris, and Emily. He enjoys a very active lifestyle and includes kiteboarding in most of his vacations.
